Short stay VISA acquisition requirements
A short-stay visa granting a stay of less than 90 days may be extended under new conditions, so that the total duration of the stay granted does not exceed 90 calendar days in any period of 180 calendar days. This means that the last 180 days before each day of stay must be taken into account. A visa may be extended only for the same purpose for which it was issued.
An application for an extension of a visa for visitors shall be submitted to the competent authority at least 3 working days before the expiry of the period specified in the visa.
